Emily Robb is a Melbourne-based editor whose decade-long career spans commercial, music video, and narrative storytelling. Beginning her journey in Melbourne's leading post-production facilities working with some of Australia’s best production companies, she has developed a distinctive approach that blends technical precision with creative storytelling.
Her work in short-form narrative has garnered international recognition, with her films screening at prestigious festivals including Melbourne International Film Festival, Palm Springs International ShortFest, SXSW Sydney, and The Iris Prize.
Emily's keen eye for rhythm and emotional resonance has also earned her accolades in the music video space, including a nomination for Best Editing at the 2024 Australian Screen Editors Awards and a win for Best Editing at CLIPPED Music Video Festival 2019.
In late 2024 Emily edited an ABC pilot as part of their Fresh Blood initiative. "Urvi Went to an All Girls School" – a coming-of-age comedy-drama set in 2010 Melbourne. Directed by Nina Oyama and created by Urvi Majumdar, the show is set to air on ABC in mid-2025.
When she’s not editing, you’ll find Emily outside (probably gardening) enjoying fresh air and sunlight.
